Wimpson Old Boys Scooter Club
Wimpson old boys Scooter club was founded in 2011 by 4 friends who used to go to the local youth club in millbrook, Southampton. After a meeting between 4 of the lads, Dean and Paul Prince, Steve Jenkins and Martin Dearr. We decided there would be a lot of interest in forming a scooter club hence wimpson old boys was formed. The youth club was very popular getting between 250-300 people, which both mods and skins used to dance to the sounds of the times, Spencer Davis, Small Faces, The Who, Laurel Aitken, Paragons, Geno Washington, Northern Soul, Motown stax etc. In the early 70′s both Geno Washinhton and Laurel Aitken made an appearence, Many of us have remained friends since those early days attending regular reunions. Quite a few of the lads had scooters back in the late 60′s early 70′s.
